Honey-Do · iPhone, iOS 17 or later

Something not working? Write to support@galt.software and a human will answer. Say which provider and model you are using and what the app said, and it will be sorted much faster.

Honey-Do runs on your own AI key

There is no Honey-Do account and no server of ours in the middle. You bring a key from an AI provider, the app calls that provider directly from your phone, and you pay them for what you use. That is true from the very first plan, including during the free week.

To set one up, open Settings inside the app and fill in four things:

  • Provider — OpenAI, Google Gemini, OpenRouter, or Custom for any endpoint that speaks the OpenAI API.
  • API key — created in your provider's own console. It is stored in the iOS Keychain and is never sent anywhere but that provider.
  • Text model — the id exactly as your provider writes it. It has to accept images, because the first thing the app does is look at your photo.
  • Image model — used only for the blueprint drawing.

Then tap Test connection. Nothing can be generated until that passes, on purpose: a plan costs you real money and takes a minute, so a mistyped model id should not be discovered four stages in.

Everything is greyed out

The + button, the sparkle menu and Generate all switch off until the exact provider, model, endpoint and key you have entered have passed a live test. Editing any one of them takes the verification away until you test again. Open Settings and tap Test connection.

If the test fails, the message says why. An invalid key means the key itself; a model not found means the id, which is usually a version suffix or a stray space; a network error means the phone, not the app. Note that the test only exercises the text model, so a wrong image model will not show up until a blueprint fails.

A plan came out wrong

Plans are written by an AI model and they are sometimes wrong. The app is built for that.

  • A step that did not work. Press and hold the step and choose "It didn't work…". Describe it, or photograph what you are staring at, or both. The step gets rewritten in place, or broken into smaller ones underneath it. Anything you had already ticked stays ticked.
  • A tool you cannot get. Press and hold and choose "Suggest an alternative…". The plan swaps in something you can actually find.
  • The whole plan. The sparkle menu on a project re-runs any single stage: edit the request, research again, rebuild the checklist, or redraw the blueprint on its own.

Plans are a starting point, not professional advice. Anything involving electricity, gas or structure wants a qualified person, whatever the checklist says.

Generation stopped part way

A plan is built in four stages, and each one is stored as it lands, so a failure never loses the stages before it. Re-run the one that failed from the sparkle menu rather than starting again. If it keeps failing at the same stage, check that your provider account has credit and that the model is one your account can actually reach.

What it costs

Two separate bills, and only one of them is ours.

  • Your provider charges for every plan, billed to your own account at their rates. Settings keeps a running ledger of what each request cost. The estimates deliberately err high, so a surprise is a pleasant one.
  • Honey-Do is free for seven days, counted from your first generation attempt rather than from install, then a single $25.00 unlock. It is a one-off purchase, not a subscription, and it covers the app on every device signed in to your Apple Account.

What the $25 pays for

Honey-Do is written by one developer. There is no server, no ads, no analytics and nothing sold on, so the unlock is the only money the app makes, and it has to carry all of this:

  • The work already in it — the four-stage pipeline, the blueprint drawing, the provider plumbing, the artwork, and the unglamorous parts nobody notices until they are missing, like a plan that survives a stage failing halfway through.
  • The work still to come — bugs fixed, features added, and keeping up with iOS releases and with providers who rename models and change their APIs without asking. No promises about a schedule, but that is where the money goes.
  • A human on the other end — the address at the top of this page is answered by the person who wrote the app.
  • The cost of shipping at all — Apple's developer licence every year, the tools it takes to build and test, and Apple's cut of the purchase itself.

What it does not pay for is the AI. Every plan is generated on your own key and billed to you by your provider at their rates. None of that passes through us, and none of it is marked up.

Why once, rather than monthly

A subscription would be rent on something that costs us nothing to run. Your plans are generated on your key and stored on your phone, so there are no servers here to pay for by the month. Buying once and getting every update since works because the next release is funded by the next person who buys it. If that ever stopped adding up, the honest answer would be to charge new buyers more, not to start billing you again for what you already own.

Purchases and refunds

New phone, or reinstalled the app? Settings has Restore Purchases. It is free and instant, because Apple, not us, is the record of what you bought.

Refunds are handled entirely by Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue one directly, however much we would like to. What your AI provider charged you is a matter for them.

Your projects and your privacy

Projects, photos, plans and points live on your iPhone and nowhere else. Deleting a project deletes it. Deleting the app takes the lot. Settings also has a danger zone for starting over without reinstalling. Full detail is in the privacy policy.

Sharing a plan makes a PDF on the device and hands it to the normal iOS share sheet, so it goes only where you send it.

Still stuck

Write to support@galt.software. Bug reports, plans that came out badly, and requests for things the app cannot do yet are all welcome.
